Fintelo encourages teachers to systematically align the multiple tasks of teaching and learning through a cycle called the Teaching and Learning Cycle. As an important aspect of the T&L Cycle, Fintelo also encourages teachers to develop active and interactive learning Activities or Assignments or Tasks that engage the learner in every Lesson.

The T&L Cycle is based on current educational research and learning theory about how people best learn. The T&L Cycle moves the process of teaching and learning from a "sage on the stage" model to a "guide on the side" model. In other words, the teacher or trainer is not just a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Content Expert; she or he is an "expert" in facilitating student learning toward the achievement of outcomes.

Systematic Course Creation & Management
Create, Edit, Save and Retrieve Fintelo Courses via the Course Maintenance Tool. Courses are divided into lessons. Instructors can label "lessons" as units, modules, weeks, etc. Epak content is imported into Fintelo course format then stored and saved for content delivery via the classroom environment.

Teaching & Learning Cycle
Each lesson has its very own Teaching & Learning (T&L) Cycle. The Teaching & Learning Cycle is based on the best known methods of how learners learn best. All learning activities (assignments, assessments, etc) are aligned to outcomes via the T&L cycle. Both pre-assessment and post-assessment are available within a lesson's T&L cycle.

Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
Outcomes are defined and aligned at both the course and lesson levels. Therefore post-assessments, within a particular lesson are aligned to that lesson's SLOs. Future versions will include enhancements to the SLOs cycle and offer a full-featured outcomes to assessment linking, management and reporting system.

Assessment
Standard Assessment types are offered (multiple choice, essay, true/false, fill in the blank, etc). More assessment types available in future versions. Assessment Pools are used to make assessment storage, retrieval, and generation more streamlined. Assessment and item order may be randomized.

Feedback
Instructor-to-Student Feedback cycle is available at both the assessment and individual item levels.

Gradebook
Full featured gradebook is integrated into the virtual binder environment for all instructor and student users. Instructor-Student Feedback is integrated into the gradebook.
